Google launches development platform binding no-code tools, API management and serverless computing

Google Cloud is among the few tech companies to emphasise on how its large lineup of services can solve common business problems. Google has combined its solutions in Business Application Platform.

The tech firm has brought together all its low-code/no-code tools in Business Application Platform. The search engine giant aims to create more consistent ways for users to access services, data, and functions via APIs.

Google has been focused on creating more consistent ways for users to access services, data and functionality via APIs. Google's no-code app enables non-technical users to build data-driven automation without any programming language.

The platform was introduced by Google during the nine-week long Cloud Next OnAir. During the briefing, Google's GM of Platforms, Amit Zavery said that no-code platform is based on the technology that was acquired this year from AppSheet.

The Business Application Platform will also include API management technology from Apigee, which Google acquired four years ago. The company plans to add new features that leverage Google Cloud, hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.

Serverless computing is among the hottest concepts in cloud infrastructure. The technology will enable developers to build applications that run services without the overhead of provisioning infrastructure. The applications will be faster, flexible and less expensive to run.

API Gateway also includes authentication, key validations, and rate-limiting. Customers can also monitor consumption of APIs and build service level agreements. Google is also making Apigee Data Source for AppSheet available this week. The integration service lets AppSheet users across APIs to extend application functions and tap into external data sources.
