The controls in Need for Speed are pretty easy and straightforward. There are no accelerator or brake pedals to tap, and no steering wheel to move around on the side of the screen. Instead, you tap the right or left sides of the display to turn, swipe up on the screen to boost, and swipe down to drift around corners. The cars auto accelerate making turning drifting and boosting easy.
In Need for Speed, you will be racing for pole positions and timed races with objectives. As you turn and twist during the race the Nitrous bar keeps filling up which you can use by sliding the finger upwards while the race is underway. Nitrous gives you a speed boost for a short moment of time during the race. Asphalt 8 is also a racing game just like Need for Speed.
